King Point Marina is the gateway to the UK’s Best Sailing and we pride ourselves on offering berthing that is fit for a king – here’s our top reasons to berth at our marina in Plymouth.

Why choose King Point Marina for berthing in Plymouth?

Location

King Point Marina offers contemporary berthing facilities and easy access to the South West’s fantastic sailing waters. We are Plymouth’s newest marina and are in a naturally sheltered position in Millbay’s historic inner basin. This means we are perfectly placed to explore the stunning South West sailing waters around Devon, Cornwall and beyond.

Plymouth has a good road network into the city and public transport services:-

  • By road – the M5 and A38 Devon Expressway connect with the national motorway – our postcode for Sat Nav is PL1 3EF.
  • By train – Mainline rail services are available at Plymouth Rail Station which is a 5 minute taxi ride or 20 minute walk from King Point Marina.
  • By sea – Lat 50° 36’, 80N Long 04° 15’ .49W.

Things to do ashore

King Point Marina is only a short stroll away from Plymouth City Centre with its vibrant independent Quarter offering boutique shops and Drakes Circus Shopping Centre. We are within walking distance to many fantastic restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, and year-round visitor attractions. The Theatre Royal, Plymouth Pavilions, National Marine Aquarium and Plymouth Hoe are all on our doorstep.

The historic Royal William Yard, is also only a short walk away, it has been transformed into a wonderful waterside community with a range of bars, cafes and restaurants. Sutton Harbour, Plymouth’s breathtaking historic waterfront and nautical village is within easy reach. Sutton Harbour boasts a range of the very best restaurants, shops, and attractions in Plymouth and is the home to our sister marina.
